The Results to the BIG RACE!!!

Hey Everyone

So are you wondering how everything turned out in Nevada at the Silver State Classic Challenge?

We in the 105 class the BIG Guy placed 3rd!!!! (Which totally means he has a Lead Foot and from now on he can't be telling me to be slowing down), his average speed was 104.9827 that is just plain awesome for speed, . As for being a Rookie in the race he was totally in 1st place!!!

They ended up receiving silver platters, as soon as they pass them on I will post them for all to see.

Tonight they are staying at the South Edge of the Grand Canyon and they called me to tell me what a great pick for a vacation it was (it is my location of choice) they are also staying in the honeymoon suite. Should of renewed their vows in Vegas with Elvis. Would of been pretty cool to me.

Silver State Classics Challenge Part 2.....

Hey Everyone:

Keeping up with what is going on in Nevada and the Silver State Classic Challenge.....

First off the Big Guy and Kathy have past inspection from the car to their helmets!!! So they are READY TO RACE!!!!!! The Big Guy will be racing at an Average speed of 105 and can't go over 124 mph. (SOUNDS LIKE ALOT OF FUN TO ME). At this average speed it will take them 51.4268 to go 90 miles. That is pretty cool!!!

That guy in the red shirt is the Big Guy promoting his milwaukee status to the people of Nevada!!!

So you might also be wondering what types of cars are in the Silver State Classic Challenge (I did not know so I asked and I did receive some pretty awesome looking cars!!!) So they take most of the cars on a parade thru the downtown area and if there is room in the car the Boy Scott's are allowed to ride in the cars during the parade.

There are porshes, vipers, mustangs, chargers and of course the Big Guys favorite Vette's....

My favorite is of course the Silver Mustang - there is just something about this car that makes me want to hop in and go for a drive!!!

The sponsors for the race are K & N Air Filters, Optium Batteries and Royal Purple Lubricants. Which everyone in the race puts the stickers on their cars for the race.

They have met a few people from around the area, Wakefieild, Ne, Moline, Il and Lincoln, Ne. As for today, Kathy is heading for a mandatory race meeting for the Navigator and the Big Guy is headed over to the football stadium for the car to be judged before racing begins.
Hope you enjoyed seeing what else is going on at ToolDepot247.com, I will keep you posted on the race outcome sometime tomorrow.

Not about Tools but deals with ToolDepot247.com - interest story

Hey Everyone
Normally I get on here and talk about the different types of tools that are coming out or new products we are stocking. Well today we are going to talk about something a bit different (Not Julie and Julia different but Car DIFFERENT)!!!!!!!!!!!!
This weekend in Nevada there is a Car Race called the "Silver Classics", which take place out by Las Vegas (hello lights). The Big ToolGuy and his wife are out there getting ready to go for a ride. Click on the link below to see the route on 318 and what it takes to enter.
http://www.sscc.us/ - Silver State Classic Challenge

Before they could leave for the BIG Race, the Tool Guy first had to get the car. Then this summer he did the following, put in a specialized RollBar, 5 pt seatbelts, specialty placed fire extingusher, purchase 2 stopwatches and set up the GPS, then they were off.
After all of the inside items done he did some specialty stickers on the outside:
on the windshield in red is: http://www.tooldepot247.com/
Both side panels is:
Sioux City Iron Co, Milwaukee
Tool Depot w/wrench (which was designed by Maurer Sign - new company in Sioux City)
Sioux City, IA - LeMars, Ia - Sioux Falls, SD

They left on Monday, September 14th on 77 down to Lincoln, Nebraska, across Nebraska on 80 into Colorado to 76 to 77 and down 15 to Vegas.

The big Guy is at Driving School to find out the speed he can travel during the race on Sunday. His wife, Kathy, will be attending Navigator school to help the Big Guy win the race.

There are a bunch of different rules that they have to follow:
First time drivers have to go to driving school and can't drive over 124 mph - the big Guy is at Driving School this morning and then will be hanging out in Vegas until they caravan to Ely, Nevada. That is all I know for now - I will keep you posted on the trip during the meantime.

Here are some pictures that we took before they left on there trip:

So Long but Alot has been going on.........

Hey Everyone

Been a lot time but we have been very very busy with different things going on:

1) In the past month we have been really work on the website
For starters we have started up an Ebay Store - ToolDepot247
we have been placing alot of overstock and discontinued items.

Some of the items are Panasonic Sawzalls, Impacts, Milwaukee Drills and other like items.
We are also putting items on there that are the Employees, we have sold Arnold Palmer Golf Balls from 1954, China Dishes from 1954 (personally it is not my taste but could be someone's ~ check it out!!!) We are selling the boss's Bosch Toys, cordless drill, circular saw and chain saw. There might be something you are looking for and just another avenue just purchase from ToolDepot247.com, ToolDepot247 (ebay) or one of the 3 stores avaiable to you.

2) Milwaukee has been busy coming out with new products:
M12 3/8" Drill that also has (2) M12 Batteries - this drill is SO AWESOME!!!
M12 Stud Finers, Heat Guns

3) We also just got back from the Orgill Buying Show - we also got a lot of neat new toys - my favorite new tools that I got to purchase was the Gorilla Grip - if you are in the store the video will start playing this weekend. (side note ~ but the reason that I had to purchase this item was it totally reminded me of the typical tool guy - you all know the type - the Guy on the corner whistling at the hot girl) You will have to see it to believe it.

I hope everyone had a great summer!!! I have been busy with all of the new toys (tools) coming out and can't wait to see everyone in the store.

The ToolGal's are everywhere!!!
See Ya Soon
