Well Everyone - We are at the end of 2007 and at the start of 2008. The tool world has been pretty slow this time of year. Our reps are finishing up with the year end of things and nothing new is coming out until February, I do know that Milwaukee will have a bunch of new tools coming out with additional tools in the V18 and the V28 line-up. I can't wait to see all that they are coming out with.
Milwaukee is also going to be coming out with the free mail-in rebate on the V28 Combo Kit. It starts the first of January and will go until February 29.
I hope everyone has received what they were hoping for Christmas and has already spent their gift cards that they have received from their loved ones.
Happy Holidays

Well it is Tuesday before the show and I feel like I have ran in a complete circle - no big deal - I love it. We have the adversiting out in the smaller communities for the show and did an ad in the Sioux City Journal that ran on Sunday - We are also on the SiouxCityJournal.com website underneath the Top Ad's - it is a pretty good ad - If I dont say so myself.
I am also going to run a special on the Factory Perfect Recon Milwaukee Radios for the next couple of days - $65.00 - I dont think anyone can beat that one too easily - this is only for the website - Ends on November 16, 2007.
Remember Tool Depot has gone Tool Crazy Central on November 17, 2007 in LeMars - If you can't make it Tool Depot in LeMars and you happen to be in Sioux City the pricing is good there as well. We make it easy for the customer because we think of our customer's as our friends. Lets us know if there is something we need to do for you.

Stafda shows
Well we just got back from Nashville, TN - where we were at the Stafda Tool Show. I am exhausted from all the walking we did down there. We also found a new pneumatic tool line - Called the Stringer - which includes a hammer tacker and the Crossfire, we are adding the staples and caps (they are green instead of orange). We will be getting these added to the site soon. We also are increasing the Dead On line - if you like what we have in house there is more coming, also needing to be added to the site.
We saw a lot of our current vendors Milwaukee, DeWalt, Vaughan and Bushnell, CST Berger, Stabilia and got to see alot of new stuff coming in 2008 - let me tell you it is going to be a BIG, you dont get how big of new deals/tools that will be coming out!!! It shocked even me, this is so big I am not suppose to tell anyone what I saw but I did see alot of new stuff.
We also ordered in some new Hoses from Legacy and their color connectors - the hose is a flexible hose in LIME Green - this stuff is BRIGHT!!!! I loved it. We also ordered in some hose from Contractor's Plus but we stock it already.
I can't even remember half of what I have done in the past two weeks being in Altanta, GA for the True Value tool show and in Nashville, TN for the Stafda show plus our Tool Show in Sioux City it has been an awesome blur of new items and deals so great you would not believe me if I told you about them.
I better get back to work on putting in my new items from Gorilla Glue - we now have the white glue plus the super glue that just came out. Plus we now have mositure meters and Carbon Moxide meters on a carts that are Brand new to us.
Can't wait for everyone to see them -

Wednesday - Floor Model Sale
I guess that there were complaints about some of the items that I have been blogging about - the reason behind this blog is to let people know what is going on at the http://www.tooldepot247.com/ location. The ToolGuy wants everyone to know who is working lots of hours, what new ideas we are throwing around, or what new products we are adding to the stores and to http://www.tooldepot247.com/.
We have had some good news since I have last blogged - the CST Berger rep "Z" showed up and had some great ideas about the site and then got me the weights on CST Berger, so we will be getting that added shortly.
Not much else is going on - We are having a Floor Model Sale/Mini Tent Sale that is going on until September 29th. You would not believe some of the prices that we are throwing out there.
Examples:
Factory Perfect Recon:
18 Volt 1/2" DeWalt Drill Driver with Hammer Mode - $199.00
Brand New is Roughly - $289.00
This is just one awesome deal and only while supplies last - We need to sell through the old model to bring in the new even if is only to bring in the same part number.
Hope everyone is having a great week.

Hey Everyone - I hope everyone is keeping up on what has been going on. First off - We have been adding pictures to the website so that when you are picking a category you now have an image to go with the wording. We will be soon adding the Wright Tool - Sockets, Wrenches and Sets - it is a big addition to the site.
Next step is getting ahold of the Irwin Tools, Freud and get us added to their sites - if anyone sees a mistake let me know through an email and then we can get it fixed.
Just to let everyone know - we just received the Festool order that we did a couple of weeks ago. The ToolGuy and the Festool Rep - Came in on Sunday and hung up all the Festool Tools and Accessories - Remember there is only one sell price and we have everything also on the website -

Saturday
Just so everyone knows (the company has found out that I write about what is going on at the stores - who is here, so and so everyone is reading my take on what is going on), so I am going to let everyone know what I am doing next week. Starting today, Saturday, September 15, 2007, I will be working on getting some PO's done and working on the floor model sale (during this time I will also be listening to the Iowa/Iowa State game - GO HAWKS!!!!) Tomorrow - I will be finishing up the floor model sale and working on the Tool Shows for November - Remember the floor model sale is first!!! We are making room for the new models that will be coming in.
Floor Model Tent Sale is September 26 thru September 29th - if you end up missing this sale we will not be having another one until
November 3, 2007 - Sioux City Tool Crazy Tool Fair
November 17, 2007 - LeMars Tool Crazy Tool Fair
These sales are for ONE DAY ONLY and when we go home there will be nothing of the rebates that we have for you now - we may have a special deal that we will pass on for Thanksgiving/Christmas but not what we will have during the two days above.
Thanks

Tuesday
I am getting ready to do a small Milwaukee order which will thrill Kenny in the warehouse since he loves checking in the milwaukee orders that we get but this one will be much smaller than the last one that we got.
Also we called on our wright return for defectives that was done on June 22, 2007 and the rep still has not issued credit for the items and now I have to call him to find out when we are going to get these items issued, I might just do a vendor return and tell the A.P. to take the credit.
Right now we are working on getting in all of the American Tool/Irwin items into the system - which include pliers, tape measures, drill bit sets, levels, gloves and tool pouches.
Don't forget to keep looking for new items and new posts - I have not been keeping up with my posts like I need too. Also if you see CST Berger Rep let me know - I want CST Berger on the site like yesterday.

Long Holiday Weekend
Well everyone
I think that the weekend was too much for everyone to handle. The sales guys are telling me we dont have enough products and the owner is complaining about running out of products and then telling me we have too much products (I dont think I get to win on my end of the spectum). I can tell you for sure that if I still drank tonight would be the night you would find me out and about in Sioux City instead of at my desk still working away.
Brian aka The Tool Doktor has been busy tearing through the tools and putting in special items to get the tools fixed and back out to the customers.
We had Clint the Wing Ladder (Little Giant Ladder) Rep come in to Tool Depot in Sioux City and put together a display of ladders, the Silver Ladders and the Black "Pro" Ladders.
Tomorrow - Dave the Milwaukee Rep will be showing up around (dont you just love people that tell you they will show up around lunch time - then you dont get to leave to eat your lunch until they leave and they never leave for around 3-4 hours) talk about driving you nuts.
I dont know if anyone has been reading this except for employees who give me a bad time for not updating it a bit faster then I have been - let me know who you are if you are reading this and want to know more about what is going on at the Tool Depot's or at ToolDepot247.com
Email - Sara@ToolDepot247.com
Dont forget to check out our site - www.ToolDepot247.com we just got done adding in Festool today and tomorrow we will be starting on Irwin Tools - I may add in there before Stabilia Levels and I want to get CST Berger added into the site but the rep is not getting back to me. Glad to see we are important with CST Berger. If anyone hears from Cliff or he gets back to me I will make sure to let everyone know.

Sunday
Well it is an early sunday morning (at least for someone who does not go to sleep until 2:00 am). Today is the day to set up Festool - We should have it in stock and hopefully hung up at Tool Depot Sioux City and will also get it on the website in the next couple of days. We are still on track and should be finishing up with Milwaukee in the next couple of days. We will either start on the Festool inventory or start with Irwin - pliers etc. I think that Festool sounds like more fun to see what all the items will be.

Monday
Well it is Monday and it got off to a very slow start this morning, it did not help that I got in from Omaha, Ne late last night and of course had a very early start this morning. (There was also no time to stop for coffee!!!) After a long, very long day at the office, I decided that I had not done enough and decided to bring my work home. I am sitting in my favorite chair, close to the window (awesome rain storm) and am writing to all of you. I dont know who reads my blog but I hope everyone enjoys what I write about.
I have been making small changes on the site and I hope that they make sense to everyone out there. I have been consolitating all the pages from the home page to pages that make sense...Tool Supplies/Accessories to now include the Holesaws, Circular Saw Blades and Accessories. If there is something that you want and can't find it or we dont have it yet on the site, let me know and I will help you find it.
Remember we are adding items on a daily bases, right now we have all of the Freud items on the site, working on the Milwaukee and I am hoping to get Irwin, Stabilia and CST Berger on to the site as soon as possible.
Remember to check out http://www.tooldepot247.com/.

Busy
Hey Everyone - Just thought I would get back on line and get busy with my blog again....it has been super crazy here, we are short handed again but will have a full staff again on Aug 27th and hopefully I will get to slow down a bit.
We are getting ready with the reps on specials for the tool show this fall and planning on what we will be advertising for the rest of the year.
First Special going on is the DeWalt 18 Volt Bare Tools, I can't believe that people are not taking advantage of this - It is a hot deal/liquidation and everyone should be jumping at this if you are a DeWalt Purchaser.
Second - Milwaukee New V18 1/4" Hex Driver with one battery, charger and bag, when these are gone they are gone and will not be able to be purchased from any other distributor. MIL0817-21.
Write to ya later

Router Bits
Hi everyone - it is the last day of July for 2007, where has the summer gone. Well I got a great question from Richard about dadoing shelves for his entertainment center and was wondering what type of bit to use. He has 1/2" oak plywood for the shelves and was wondering about what type of bit to use. I was not a 100% sure what he should use so I contacted the expects at Freud, they told me that the best to use would be the following:
Double Flute Straight Bit: Undersized Plywood Bits
04-127 which is a 1-5/32" Overall Diameter (15/32") with the Carbide Height of 3/4" and has a 1/4" Shank Diameter and the Overall Length is 2" - Found on page 4 of the Router Accessories and sells for $22.54.
12-114 which is a 1-5/32" Overall Diameter (15/32") with the Carbide Height of 1-1/4" and has a 1/2" Shank Diameter and the Overall Length of 2-7/8" - Found on page 2 of the Router Accessories and sells for $24.59.
The many differences of these bits is the Shank Diameter, most Routers will except either shank size and it is all of personal preference but make sure you know before purchasing a bit that it will fit your router.
Richard - please send a picture of your finished project and we will post it on the blog for others to see.
Hope this helps out Richard with his project, please keep sending your questions to Sara@ToolDepot247.com, if I dont have the answer I will find out from an expert.

Friday
What a crazy day today has been. We are working on loading Freud Router Bits and talking about making a Milwaukee Landing page - which means Milwaukee would then approve us for an Authorized Milwaukee E-Commerce Link. Other than that we have had all of the sales guys in driving everyone crazy with them thinking that they are the most important things and we dont have our own work that needs to be done.
Milwaukee has their new V18 1/4" Hex Impact Driver coming out next month with (2) V18 Lithium-ion Batteries, Charger and Case - we have them already in stock in the new LIthium-ion 3 pc Combo Kit. Starting August 1st to the end of September, if you purchase a V28 Combo Kit or a V28 Tool/Kit - you can receive a free V28 Bare Tool (I would tell everyone to purchase a Tool or Combo Kit and get the V28 Impact Driver Bare Tool). They also finally included the V28 Bandsaw this time - it is the first time that they have done that.
